Job Title: Warehouse Worker -Industrial

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced warehouse worker to handle material, specifically steel plates. This role involves unloading steel plates from flat deck trucks using an overhead crane and forklift. The ideal candidate should be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and have experience working in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle steel plates with care and precision.

• Unload steel plates from flat deck trucks using an overhead crane and forklift.

• Perform general labor tasks as needed.

• Maintain inventory and ensure accurate picking, shipping, and receiving.

• Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently.

Essential Skills

• 1+ year of warehouse experience.

• Experience in an industrial environment.

• 6 months of overhead crane experience (willing to train the right candidate).

• Proficiency in material handling and general labor tasks.

• Experience with inventory management, picking, and shipping and receiving.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift certification is a plus.

• Knowledge of ERP systems is beneficial.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Work Environment

You will be working in a shop environment with a small team of three people, reporting to one lead shipper on-site. The workspace can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The shift is Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with an unpaid lunch and scheduled breaks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brantford, Ontario.( with possibility of moving to Woodstock) vehicle require for position

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00
