    JobSummary: This role is part of the B&N Engineering department. As a member of the team, you will contribute to a variety of warehouse improvement projects. Your responsibilities will include gathering and analyzing data, documenting procedures, assisting with SOP training, and maintaining key metrics for warehouse operations. Additionally, you will evaluate processes and suggest improvements to enhance the capacity of the distribution center network and increase efficiency. Success in this role will require effective collaboration across all departments within the organization.

    WhatYouDo

    • Review current distribution center processes and identify opportunities for improvement: reduce cycle time, increase throughput, quality, safety, and cost savings.

    • Observe/evaluate employee's tasks and responsibilities and identify bottlenecks and problems related to systems, procedures, or pace issues.

    • Make recommendations to modify processes to maximize efficiency and reduce waste.

    • Document and maintain Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs), Process flow diagrams, and Work instructions.

    • Assist with SOP training across warehouse functions.

    • Collaborate on work standardization and time studies.

    • Gather data required to maintain labor performance metrics and labor models.

    • Utilize analytical methods and tools to understand and predict order cadence, evaluate process changes, and identify slotting needs.

    • Work with a large dataset in Excel and/or MS Access (300K+ items), analyze the data, identify trends, run regressions, and conduct forecasting.

    • Present and summarize data analysis in the form of graphs and diagrams.

    • Demonstrate knowledge of Warehouse/ Distribution center operations.

    • Performs other related duties, as assigned.

    Knowledge&Experience:

    • BS Degree IE, and/or equivalent work experience.

    • 1-3+ years of experience in Distribution centers.

    • Familiar with lean manufacturing principles and practices.

    • 5+ Years' Experience in Microsoft Excel, preferred MS Access, and knowledge of SQL

    • Time Studies software.

    • Understanding of computer databases, statistic applications, and logistics programs.

    • Proven knowledge of Automation and Material handling solutions: picking and packing technology.

    • Strong organization, time-management, prioritization, multi-tasking, independent-decision making, problem-solving, interpersonal, analytical, etc. skills.

    • Works well under deadlines, self-starter, innovative, team-oriented, customer-focused, etc.

    • Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

    • 30-50% Travel between Reno NV/Monroe DC
