Industrial Electrician, Nairn Centre, ON
Interfor
is looking for an Industrial Electrician to complete the
team of our Nairn Sawmill in Ontario.
WhatYou'll Do
Perform preventive maintenance onelectrical equipment
Determine the existence of electricalhazards and problems. Safely isolate, ground, and prepare circuits andelectrical apparatus to enable repairs
Have knowledge of and use therequired personal protective equipment to protect against arc flash andshock
Read and interpret engineeringdrawings and manuals to install, calibrate and maintain electricalapparatus to complete projects and assigned work.
Repair, install and test theequipment. (Variable frequency drives, motors, electrical controlsystems).
Design, install and maintain controland distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, circuit breakers,and control panels
Interpret the requirements of theelectrical code and ensure compliance.
Respond to calls during thebreakdown.
Repair or replace faultyelectrical equipment, including electronic controls, meters, outlets, andpanels
Write, design and edit PLCprogramming to make adjustments on equipment in the mill.
Assist in establishing andmaintaining scheduled maintenance programs for plant equipment

WhatYou Offer
Have a college degree inInstrumentation / Control or a degree of professional studies recognizedfor certified Electrician.
At least two years of experiencein an industrial environment, preferably in a timber complex.
Sawmill and/or planer experiencewill be considered an asset.
Knowledge of the Allen-BradleyPLCs would be an asset.
Familiarity with OccupationalHealth and Safety legislation.
Must be able to speak and write inEnglish.
Be available to work on shiftsincluding day, evening or night including weekends.

WAGE
& HOURS: $39.40 per hour. 12 hours per day -
continental shift and/or weekend shift
