Industrial Electrician

Our client is looking for Electrician's to join their team in Hawkesbury, Ontario!

Job Description

-Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on pump, gearboxes, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and other production machineries.

-Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.

-Remove defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.

-Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.

-Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, and straightedges.

-Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.

-Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.

-Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

-Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.

-Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, and assemble new equipment.

-Repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment.

-Assist with planning and closing the loop on work orders in Maximo.

-Record parts and materials used, and order or create requisition for new parts and materials as necessary.

-Record repairs and maintenance performed. Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

-Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Must Have Skills:

• Red Seal 442A millwright License or Electromechanical College Diploma in Quebec

• 2 years+ Canadian Electrician Experience in Industrial environment

• Experience with PLCs

• Use of own set of tools: multimeter > 600v

Nice to Have Skills:

• welding/cutting

• Working at heights

• lockout/tagout

Work Environment & Shift:

Candidates must be comfortable working continental rotating shifts (days and nights, 2 week rotation) in a hot environment.
