  • General Summary:

    The role of an Appointment Coordinator is to facilitate/validate information from our carrier partners and populate downstream systems accordingly. The Coordinator will have responsibility for approximately 26 different carriers; managing their daily issues reporting. Once received, the Coordinator will validate all shipment information provided by our carriers, troubleshoot any roadblocks, then input the data into our Transportation Management System. They will manage our carrier scorecards for Daily Issues Reporting Compliance and assist with the onboarding/training of new carriers within our network.

    Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Receive daily spreadsheets from our carrier base that outline current status of shipments

    • Ensure all loads with issues are correctly notated and validate accuracy of notes. Ensure all loads that are past their shipping windows are notated and follow up with carriers on any corrections that are needed.

    • Work alongside analyst team to ensure proper information is being provided to facilitate corrective action as needed

    • Upload/document proper notation within our Transportation Management System on all shipments with carrier issues as provided by the carriers

    • Escalate issues to Management when appropriate.

    • Onboarding of new carriers to ensure they are familiar with and meeting expectations for our Daily Issues Reporting

    • Contribute to the overall success of the Transportation department by developing business solutions, using/contributing to databases, maintain key reports, work on special projects and acting as a subject matter expert.

    • Other duties as assigned

    Position Requirements:

    • Regular working hours; usually daytime working, approximately 40 hours/week

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Education: Associates or Bachelor's degree in Business or Logistics preferred.

    • Experience: One to two years transportation, logistics or customer service experience.

    • Job Related Skills: Strong planning, organizing and problem solving skills is essential. Excellent oral and written communication with demonstrated professionalism and a sense of urgency. Strong interpersonal skills with a customer focus and sense of urgency required.

    • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
