  • Hiring Refrigeration Technician for busy manufacturing Facility

    $30-$38/hr depending on experience

    Job Description

    • We are seeking an HVAC/R Technician responsible for assisting with the operation, troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repair of commercial building equipment, critical systems, grounds, and maintenance equipment for assigned properties.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist with troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of building-installed systems, including HVAC equipment, kitchen equipment, environmental chambers, plumbing systems, roofs, and drains.

    • Manage systems and components effectively.

    • Test and repair machinery and equipment.

    • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards and regulations.

    • Clean, lubricate, and service a wide variety of pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices.

    • Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.

    • Perform general building repairs, maintenance, adjustments, and installations within the building(s).

    • Troubleshoot, evaluate, and make recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and/or implement cost-saving opportunities.

    • Possess competent knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment used in facility maintenance.

    • Respond immediately to emergency situations and customer service requests.

    • Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions.

    • Perform preventative maintenance, operate fire and life safety systems such as fire alarm systems, fire pumps, and related fire protection system equipment as assigned.

    • Perform snow removal and salting applications when necessary.

    • Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and Company directives related to building operations and always follow safe work practices.

    Requirements

    • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

    • 5+ years of related experience in a commercial property setting

    • Technical, vocational, or on-the-job training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or plumbing

    • Proficiency in plumbing, HVAC, troubleshooting, refrigeration, repair, cooling, and appliances

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    • Ability to use a variety of tools and equipment in facility maintenance

    • Capability to perform general building repairs and maintenance

    • Competency in managing systems and components

    • Skill in testing and repairing machinery and equipment

    • Experience with cleaning, lubricating, and servicing pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices

    Work Environment

    This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Regularly required to travel outside between properties in varying weather conditions.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract position based out of Plano, Texas.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00
