HVAC Mechanic

Job Description

The primary role of a Mobile Maintenance Mechanic is to perform both preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment/systems in assigned facilities. You will assist other mechanics in maintenance and repair efforts and independently perform defined tasks. Your responsibilities will include inspections and repairs to both the interior and exterior of assigned properties, including walls, flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, and lighting.

Responsibilities

• Clean HVAC coils, change filters, and belts.

• Maintain and repair locks, locking mechanisms, closers, doors, and furniture.

• Maintain and complete documentation for fire extinguishers and other building systems.

• Maintain and repair plumbing components including toilets, urinals, lavatories, flush valves, sinks, drains, water heaters, piping, and sump pumps.

• Prepare, prime, and paint building interior and exterior surfaces and perform general handyman tasks to maintain buildings.

• Complete special tasks including but not limited to painting, locksmith work, tenant service requests, and general maintenance as assigned.

• Prioritize all preventative maintenance (PM), corrective, and emergent work orders for the site on an annual, monthly, weekly, and daily basis.

• Comply with all safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping, and ensure the safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.

• Maintain compliance with State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.

• Update work order status in real time utilizing the CMMS system.

Essential Skills

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

• 5-7 years of experience required.

• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.

• Proficient in basic computer application software such as MS Office, Outlook, and CMMS.

• Related experience and/or training in the areas of carpentry, electrical, and plumbing.

• Proficiency in computer systems applications and database software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• EPA Universal License considered an asset.

• BAS Experience - asset.

• Experience with preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment.

• Valid driver's license and parking spot for company vehicle.

• Experience working at heights.

• Trade license or other related certifications.

Work Environment

You will work in various facilities, performing both indoor and outdoor maintenance tasks. The role requires the ability to lift up to 80 lbs and may involve working at heights. You will use a variety of tools and technologies, including CMMS systems for real-time work order updates. The dress code is typically casual, but safety gear is required for certain tasks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00
