Human Resources (HR) Assistant

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Human Resources (HR) Assistant in the Restaurants & Catering industry, located in Syracuse, New York, United States. As an HR Assistant, your role will be pivotal in providing administrative support to the HR and benefits department, managing reporting, and ensuring effective communication within the team.

Responsibilities

• Manage and organize HR-related paperwork, ensuring all documents are accurately compiled and filed

• Handle outbound communication, including drafting and sending letters

• Perform basic data entry tasks to maintain up-to-date and accurate records

• Conduct email and phone correspondence to facilitate internal and external communication

• Float between the benefits and HR departments, providing necessary support

• Utilize basic office skills to manage administrative tasks

• Employ customer service skills to resolve inquiries and issues

• Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) for various administrative tasks

• Monitor and manage HR and benefits related reporting

• Utilize HR administration skills to support the HR department. Requirements

• Applicants should possess excellent Customer Service skills, demonstrating the ability to interact professionally

• Candidates need to have Basic Office Skills such as typing, answering phone calls, and managing files and documents.

-HR/benefits experience is a plus but not required, making this position suitable for entry-level candidates or recent graduates.
