  • Description:

    DEFINITION: This position is responsible for maintaining all records and access to Human Resource Information and Systems. This position requires confidentiality regarding correspondence and files, self-initiative, independent thinking, motivation, an outgoing personality, positive public relations and a need for accuracy in work.

    EXAMPLES OF WORK DUTIES: (Any one position may not include all the following nor do all the listed examples include all duties and responsibilities which may be required of the position).

    1. Assist HR Director with the total operation of the Human Resources office.

    1. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

    1. Full scale recruitment including but not limited to: Processing all applications, assessing candidates' skills, conducting pre-screen interviews. Completing reference checks, criminal records checks, and Conditional Job offers in a timely fashion.

    1. Co-chair the Recruitment Committee alongside the HR Specialist.

    1. Conduct annual Family Care Safety Registry background reports and Driver Record checks.

    1. Maintaining up to date staff/personnel files, including the Relias training portal and Therap for documentation.

    1. Assist with preparation of meeting CARF Standards for the organizations survey process.

    1. Assist HR Specialist in the coordination and tracking of promotions, transfers, personnel record keeping, exit interviews, EEOC compliance and other areas assigned.

    1. Act in a professional, courteous manner.

    1. Working knowledge of current employment laws.

    1. Maintaining spreadsheets with accurate data.

    1. Entering accurate information into all HR/Program Systems.

    1. Good organizational and time management skills.

    1. Weekly updates of the vacancy list.

    1. Ability to maintain confidentiality.

    1. Ability to work as a productive team player.

    1. Assist with updating and revising policies, procedures, and HR documents.

    1. Serve as the instructor for presenting new employee orientation.

    1. May be required to perform additional duties not specifically listed or implied here as situations arise or as assigned by the HR Director or other Leadership Team personnel.

    Requirements:

    QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent, two years experience in Human Resources, experience and knowledge in the operation of computers.

    ACCOUNTABLE TO: This position is accountable to the Human Resource Director.
