  • Description We are in search for an HR Specialist to join our team located in Upper Arlington, Ohio. This role involves a wide range of HR functions, including policy implementation, payroll management, onboarding, and visa processing. The HR Specialist will also be required to use certain software programs such as Paylocity. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

    Responsibilities

    • Implement and manage HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company and legal requirements

    • Manage the payroll system, ensuring accurate and timely payment to all employees

    • Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, providing them with a positive and welcoming experience

    • Handle visa processing and documentation for international employees

    • Utilize Paylocity software for various HR functions, including benefits administration and time tracking

    • Continually assess HR practices and procedures, making recommendations for improvements when necessary

    • Collaborate with other HR team members to develop and implement HR strategies that align with company objectives

    • Stay informed of industry trends and legal changes related to HR, ensuring the company's practices remain compliant

    • Facilitate communication between employees and management, helping to resolve any issues or concerns

    • Conduct regular audits of HR files and records to ensure accuracy and completeness. Requirements - Proficient in onboarding new employees and managing all related processes.

    • Experienced in utilizing Paylocity for various HR functions.

    • Ability to manage payroll functions, ensuring accurate and timely payments.

    • Knowledgeable in the development and implementation of HR policies.

    • Skilled in creating, revising, and enforcing company procedures.

    • Familiarity with visa procedures and requirements for international employees.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.

    • Prior experience in a similar HR specialist role is preferred.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

    • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently as needed.

    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make informed decisions.

    • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

    • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance.
