Description
The General Manager will lead and oversee all facets of our client's retail operations in St. Paul, Minnesota. This role will involve managing both in-store and select online sales initiatives, with a focus on driving sales, maximizing profitability, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will cultivate a team-oriented environment, aligned with company values, to promote employee engagement and cross-department collaboration. Leveraging data-driven insights and established business processes, the General Manager will lead the team toward exceeding performance goals.
Drive sales growth by developing and implementing sales strategies that enhance in-store experiences and follow-up processes.
Ensure efficient store operations and refine customer service strategies for better efficiency and satisfaction.
Provide training and development opportunities for department managers and their teams, promoting employee engagement and cross-department collaboration.
Monitor key performance indicators such as closing rates, order values, and cross-sell metrics, and drive consistent improvement.
Develop and monitor budgets that align with the company's profitability goals in partnership with financial leadership.
Coordinate with marketing teams to develop promotions and customer engagement strategies that maintain steady appointment flows and enhance the client experience.
Identify opportunities to optimize inventory, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency while maintaining service standards.
Curate a lineup of high-demand, high-margin items informed by customer feedback and market insights in collaboration with product managers.
Utilize operational and sales metrics to guide decision-making, refine strategies, and stay responsive to trends and customer demands.
Lead regular meetings to ensure alignment with operational processes and foster cross-department collaboration.
Requirements
5+ years of successful leadership experience in retail or sales management, particularly in dynamic, customer-centric environments.
Comprehensive understanding of retail sales strategies and operational best practices.
E-Commerce sales experience required.
Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to drive sales performance and cultivate a positive team culture.
Familiarity with operational frameworks (e.g., EOS) and project management tools; prior experience strongly preferred.
Expertise with POS systems is required.
Proven ability to consistently achieve and exceed financial and sales growth targets.
Experience in budget development, management, and financial analysis to support operational and strategic goals.
Skilled in leading and participating in leadership meetings, including delivering actionable insights and updates.
Adept at monitoring performance metrics, KPI reporting, and using data-driven strategies to enhance outcomes.
Proficient in utilizing data analytics tools to inform strategic decision-making, particularly with sales analysis, reporting, and sales operations planning.
Strong capability to inspire, lead, and mentor teams, fostering a customer-first culture that drives loyalty and satisfaction.
Salary & Benefits:
Salary range for this position is $80-110K
