    Sodexo is seeking an Chef Manager - GM for our Government Services segment in Bethesda, Maryland! This a great opportunity for a polished and professional manager with a strong background in delivering expectation dining experiences seeking to grow their career and skill set.

    Position contingent on obtaining a security clearance from the United States government based on a federal background investigation, which will include a polygraph.

    • Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.

    The best qualified candidate will be have a retail food service and culinary background and be able to inspire their staff of 10 hourly frontline employees to uphold our standards at all times.

    What You'll Do

    • Develops and implements production schedules to meet customer demand, optimize resource utilization, monitors production progress, and make adjustments as needed.

    • Coordinates with vendors to ensure timely delivery of raw materials.

    • Establishes and maintains a safe work environment, including both food and physical safety to comply with all regulatory and Sodexo standards

    • Implements and enforces strict quality control standards and regularly inspects production processes and finished products.

    • Identify areas for improvement in production processes and implement changes.

    • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices and encourage innovation and creativity among the team.

    • Proven experience in food production

    • Has a strong background in food safety and sanitation compliance

    • Has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills and has a passion for a high level of customer service

    • Can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
