    JOB SUMMARY

    The General Ledger Budget Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting principles for Uniland real estate entities. This role involves preparing and posting general ledger transactions, managing the reconciliation process, and generating financial reports. The General Ledger Budget Accountant will play a role in the budgeting process, analyzing past and present financial operations to estimate future revenues and expenditures. This position requires a strong understanding of real estate accounting, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Prepare

      journal entries to the general ledger.

    • Reconciles multiple companies on a monthly or quarterly basis including the creation of journal entries as needed.

    • Prepares internal billings

      companies.

    • Prepares financial statements for multiple companies and

      assists

      with the preparation of

      consolidated

      financial statements and/or

      consolidated

      budget to actual statements.

    • Analyzes

      financial results for multiple companies, comparing to the prior year and current year

      budgets.

    • Assists

      in the development and implementation of annual budgets

    • Prepares

      , processes, and distributes periodic reports and analysis.

    • Maintains Fixed Assets program for multiple Uniland companies.
    • Provides insights and recommendations based on financial performance and trends.
    • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
    • Prepares and files tax returns, including but not limited to sales tax, and income tax.

      other departments to provide financial support and guidance.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Accounting, Finance or related field, or Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with five years of applicable accounting experience, required.
    • Four years minimum related experience and/or training, preferably in general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
    • Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
    • Proficiency in financial software and tools, financial modelling software, and MS Office suite required. Yardi and Argus experience preferred.
    • Internal audit experience is a plus.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

    • Strong

      and other popular computer programs is expected.

      accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
