My client in the food and beverage industry is seeking shippers to join their team!

Job Description

As a Shipper, you'll be part of a hard-working team dedicated to keeping our operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities include safely operating a forklift to move raw materials or finished products to the warehouse or onto trucks.

Maintaining quality, inventory, and preventative maintenance documentation.

Interacting with team members to maximize output and efficiency.

Cross train to perform other lift and off lift activities as required.

This role is fast-paced and requires the ability to keep up with a high production rate.

Must Haves Skills

1 - 3-5 years experience with operating sit-down forklift (MHE/forklift)

2 - 1+ years experience with RF scanner

3 - Must be able to lift 50lbs

MUST BE comfortable with working in a fast pace production environment

NICE TO HAVE

• Solid computer skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook and the use of warehouse management systems (WMS) and business management software, SAP preferred

• Has a vehicle as it is in Puslinch and there is limited public transit available in the area

• Ability to work independently or with a team with solid communication skills

Work Environment

• Candidates will be moving 40 skids per hour into the racking or live loading it onto trucks for shipment

• 3-5 min spent on each pallet and immediately going back for the next

• 2/3s of all skids are being live loaded onto trucks

• Very clean and organized

• Very bright and collaborative

• Very fast paced production

SHIFT: Rotating Continentals

• 4 on, 4 off

• Monthly rotation from days to nights

• The shift schedule is based on demands of the business

DAYS: 5:50AM - 6:05PM

Nights: 5:50PM - 6:05AM

WAGE

Pay starts at $25.89/ HR

• Nights Premium: $1.25/hr for any hours worked between 6:00PM - 6:00AM
