    About the Role:

    This positionis a key figure in the system development process, defining the vision and ensuring the system aligns with business objectives and customer needs.This role involves strategic planning, backlog prioritization, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver a successful system.

    • Customer-Centricity and Design Thinking

    • Know the Customer:Understands the needs of the people who use or consume the systems delivered by the team. Continuously explores customer wants, needs, and preferences.

    • Know the Stakeholder: Beyond customers,considers the needs of non-customer stakeholders such as Business Owners, Product and Program Management, Technology/System Architects, and fellowpeers. Balancing these diverse needs ensures alignment across the value stream.

    • System Activation and Strategy Development

    • Set the Vision:In partnership with the Program Director when appropriate, defines the system vision and roadmap. They balance the customer requirements against technical feasibility and system cost restraints.

    • Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with Program Activation Managers (PAMs), technical designers, engineers, and UAT leadership to align activation efforts with system or service enhancements.

    • Backlog Management

    • Prioritize Workflows: Prioritize and manage system backlog, using project planning tools to track progress and adjust plans as needed.

    • Alignment with Business Goals: Ensure the backlog reflects business and technology strategy, keeping the team focused on delivering value.

    • Continuous Learning and Adaptation

    • Evolve with Business Needs and Customer Desires:Applies a customer-centric mindset and designs thinking tools to guide the team toward solutions that are desirable, viable, feasible, and sustainable.

    • Iterate and Improve:Embraces feedback, adapts to changing requirements, and ensures the system remains relevant.

    • Effective Communication

    • Bridge the Gap:Communicates effectively with various audiences, translating business needs into actionable items for the development team.

    • Advocate for the Team:Represents the team's work to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.

    • Performance Metrics and Reporting

    • KPIs: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to system activation, such as time savings with system/service enhancements.

    • Regular Reporting: Provide regular updated to stakeholders on activation progress and areas for improvement.

    • Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities - knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.

    • Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.

    • Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.

    • May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.

    • Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Umpqua corporate culture in all actions and words.

    • Takes personal initiative and is a positive example for others to emulate.

    About You:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT, Finance, or related field. Preferred

    • Master's Degree in Business, IT, Finance or related field.Preferred

    • 4-7 years of product management, IT, and banking experience combined.Required

    • Experience with Agile, Scrum, SAFE and Kanban experience required.

    • Extensive ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance. This includes demonstrated project leadership

    • of product delivery teams, comprised of cross-functional experts and vendors.

    • Extensive knowledge of the Bank's products, services, processes, and infrastructural components that impact assigned products

    • and solutions.

    • Possess excellent organizational and time management skills, sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, creative thinker with a

    • clear vision, and strong attention to detail.

    • Extensive written and verbal communication, presentation skills, and project management skills. Ability to train and present to

    • small and large audiences. Ability to present findings and recommendations to the most senior levels of the organization.

    • Extensive ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company and with vendor partners to achieve positive

    • customers experience and timely problem resolution.

    • Possess strong understand of Regulatory and Compliance, and Product Risk Mitigation strategies.

    Our Benefits:

    We offer a competitive total rewards package including base wages and comprehensive benefits. The pay range for this role is$59,000.00 - $105,000.00 andthe pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
