    Weare looking for a professional, service-oriented team player to join our verybusy specialty practice in Metairie. As a full-time Front Desk Coordinator, youwill be the first point of contact and play an essential role in creating awelcoming and supportive environment. Candidates must be able to coordinate andtrack a variety of details to provide a seamless patient experience.

Greatattention to detail and clear communication with patients are essential.

    GeneralSummary: Anon-exempt position responsible for daily patient flow for the practice forwhom they work. Must have excellent communication skills for speaking withpatients, as well as worker's compensation adjusters and law firms.

    EssentialJob Responsibilities:
    • Prepares patients for appropriate exams/procedures
    • Receive medical records from the patient's outside treatment and properly place it in the patient's chart.
    • Answer phones and assist with the different requests that are made from the phone calls.
    • Schedule new patients for an evaluation to see the orthopedic surgeon. Send out via mail the patient's "new patient packet" that is filled out prior to the patient's appointment date preferably.
    • Receives and records lab/radiological test results (may include outside medical records) via telephone or computer and ensures that those results and related reports are with the patient's medical record at the time of the patient's visit.
    • Properly check in and check out all patients being treated, making sure that the most up to date information is in the chart.
    • Ensures that exam rooms are clean, stocked, and appropriately set up each day prior to rooming patients. Report any supply orders to management for orders.
    • Prepare all patient "packets" prior to the clinic date, complete with a cover sheet on top that explains the information of the patient and reason for treatment today, along with any pending orders or referrals explained. Must ensure that all test results that are not reviewed are provided for the physician to review with the patient at the appointment time.
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
    • Must exercise utmost diplomacy and tact to provide excellent customer service for patients; Practices confidentiality and privacy protocols in accordance to Clinic policies and HIPAA requirements.
    • Uses customer service principles and techniques to deal with patients calmly and pleasantly.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Education: High school diploma orequivalent, some college preferred.

    Experience: Two or more years of experiencein customer service or reception, preferably in a health careenvironment. Spanish speaking and knowledge of E-Clinical Works a plus.
