Formulary and Trend Senior Product Manager

Position Summary

The Formulary Product Development Sr. Manager will be responsible for critical product management processes that support the effective strategy, operation, sale and marketing of key commercial formulary programs. The person in this role must have the ability to review formulary operations/implementation and identify key areas to improve program compliance, communication processes, analytic reporting output, and internal reporting processes.

Key responsibilities include

This position reports to the Director, Formulary Product Development and assists in the creation and execution of plans to meet growth initiatives, identification of new product enhancements, coordination of market and product research, and management of relationships with strategic partners and internal stakeholders. In this role, you will be required to collaborate with multiple key stakeholders within the organization with a focus on successfully launching new strategies, pilots or products along with executing key maintenance of business activities. This will include building strong long-term relationships enabling the organization to meet its specific goals. It is common for this role to work with Operations, Formulary Administration, Trade, Legal, Analytics, Sales and many other teams.

This role will need to own ongoing product processes that require both independent work and partnership with other teams. You will manage various project plans to execute on process improvements in the formulary space.

This role will need to resolve complex issues and negotiate agreement among different organizational areas and leadership levels. She/he will also contribute to the development or improvement of processes to ensure key business activities are completed on time and with coordination of multiple other teams.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in product management/product development or in the PBM, Health Plan, Specialty pharmacy, Pharmacy Sales, or strategy consulting market with experience creating and executing product launches.

• 5+ years relevant work experience required in a setting requiring strong independent ownership of processes, some data manipulation and analytics experience and ability to think strategically to identify and improve current work processes/results.

• Strong computer skills (MS Excel, MS Access, other MS Office applications, etc.)

• Strong ability to own ongoing product processes that require both independent work and partnership with other teams

• Ability to resolve complex issues and negotiate agreement among different organizational areas and leadership levels

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills

• Ability to influence others

• Ability to self-prioritize and work independently

• Project management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of pharmacy formulary knowledge

• Proven track record in working within a matrix organization to ensure work deliverables are still completed on time.

Education

Bachelor's degree required

B.S. Pharm, PharmD or Master's degree preferred

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is

$75,400.00 - $174,200.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
