Warehouse Operator

2nd Shift | Montgomery, IL | $23+

Overview

We are seeking to hire multiple experienced and qualified warehouse operators, who have had previous leadership experience with strong forklift skills. This position is an all encompassing role where you will be assisting the shipping and receiving department, conducting inventory counts, and assisting other departments as needed. The typical schedule will be 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM Monday - Friday, but training will be on 1st shift. The company is currently located in Plainfield, IL but is expected to move to Montgomery, IL at the end of January 2025. Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklift for approximately 75% of the workday.

• Perform picking and manual work for the remaining 25% of the day.

• Conduct full pallet picking and handling gaylords with the forklift.

• Perform individual case picking as needed.

• Label pallets with the correct Purchase Order ticker.

• Manually shrink wrap pallets.

• Collect appropriate paperwork from freight carriers.

• Adhere to safety requirements, including the use of steel-toed boots.

• Lift up to 55 lbs as necessary.

Essential Skills

• Sit down forklift experience (minimum 3 years).

• Experience in material handling, shipping, and receiving.

• Experience with ERP systems.

• Familiarity with SAP.

• Knowledge of UPS Worldship.

• Ability to handle bills of lading.

• High school diploma.

Work Environment

This role operates on the 2nd shift from 2pm to 10:30pm, with overtime available on Saturdays. Training will be conducted on the 1st shift for 1-2 weeks, depending on the candidate's ability to adapt. The facility is large, team-oriented, and fast-paced. The environment can be loud and dirty depending on the area of the facility. Steel-toed boots are required for safety.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00
