Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

As a forklift operator for the production team in Langley, you will be responsible for operating a sit-down counterbalance forklift to move materials around the shop and yard. Additionally, for the first 2-3 months, you will assist in the paint department with paint prep work and running the automated sandblaster.

Work Environment

Our client is a large heavy industrial manufacturing company that has recently moved into a brand new, very clean facility. The production floor houses approximately 150 employees, with a supportive and family-oriented culture. Safety is a high priority, and the warehouse team consists of 8-10 people with significant forklift traffic. The environment is fast-paced, loud, and noisy, with paint smells around the paint booth. The warehouse is bright and enclosed. The shift is from 6:45 AM to 3:00 PM, with one 15-minute break and one 30-minute lunch break.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down counterbalance forklift

• Move materials around the shop and yard

• Assist with production tasks as needed

• Help out in the paint department with paint prep work and running the automated sandblaster

Essential Skills

• 1 year of warehouse or industrial shop experience

• 1 year of forklift experience on a sit-down counterbalance (heavy items)

• Steel toe work boots

Our Performance Incentive Program offers bonuses based on 5% of regular earnings, with goals related to production, safety, and other factors.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00
