Forklift Operator

Our client, a world-leading producer in the manufacturing industry, is seeking an Amorphous Metal Operator/Repairperson (Melter) to join their team. As an Amorphous Metal Operator, you will be part of the production team supporting the melt deck operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong safety mindset, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment, which will align successfully with the organization's goals.

Job Title: Amorphous Metal Operator/Repairperson (Melter)

Location: Conway, SC

Pay Range: $15 per hour

What's the Job?

• Unload delivery trucks, move raw materials from inventory, and load charge buckets using forklift and/or crane.

• Charge the melting furnace, adding charge buckets of raw materials using overhead crane with hook and lifting magnet.

• Monitor, take samples, and fine-tune melt chemistry.

• Address possible melt issues, including clogged pour spout and routine deslagging.

• Assist with changing spouts and periodic breakdown/rebuilding of the furnace.

What's Needed?

• A strong safety mindset is your #1 priority!

• Must have forklift experience

• Ability to read and understand measurements and directions.

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.

• Basic computer skills for data entry and retrieval.

• High school graduate or equivalent; prior industrial/mechanical experience preferred.
