    The Anoka Metro Regional Treatment Center an inpatient psychiatric hospital serving adults with mental illness is looking for a Food Service Worker to serve meals and to perform necessary food service duties in a fast paced kitchen.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Routine work in the preparation and service of food.

    • Performs routine tasks involved in food preparation, food service, dishwashing, and cleaning the food service area, following HACCP - Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point regulations (HACCP)

    • Prepares small quantities of food for special diets

    • Washes dishes and utensils

    • Cleans equipment, cupboards and furniture

    • Operates a dishwashing machine

    • Observes standard sanitation and safety standards

    • Performs related work as required

    • Operates electric cart to deliver meal trays

    • Provide a safe and secure facility

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Working knowledge of materials and methods used in preparing food and the use of cooking utensils and large scale food service equipment. Some knowledge of food values, nutrition, food safety HACCP and infection control

    • Proficient in verbal and written communication and instruction

    • Exercise manual dexterity and motor coordination in order to perform repetitive duties, rapidly, and efficiently

    • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours, lifting of up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive duties

    • Knowledge of operating a Cushman cart (electric cart) while pulling carts for delivery of food items following safety standards

    • Stand walk (majority of the shift), bend, carry, push and handle items when performing duties
