  • INTRODUCTION

    This position is responsible for operating the foil stamp machine using job ticket specifications and within the company\u2019s and customer\u2019s guidelines. Provides leadership in operating machine and ensure quality product is produced.

    KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Operate and run Bobst foil stamper for value added cartons

    • Make ready machine to approvable standard with little to no supervision

    • Calculate and determine the amount of foil used on a job

    • Determine make ready process for various substrates

    • Start up and run at optimum efficiency levels

    • Understand and operate at quality standards

    • Know, understand, and perform maintenance on machine

    • Identify, troubleshoot, and execute corrective action during production

    • Develop and execute ideas for improvement to continually increase performance and quality of output

    • Consistently maintain organization of dies and make ready supplies

    • Lead, direct, and train machine helpers

    • Performs other job duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Minimum 3 years\u2019 experience in make ready, running, and maintaining foil stamper required

    • Basic computer skills

    • Able to read and understand job tickets

    • Must pass color vision and color hue test

    • Be able to identify and differentiate foil types

    • Ability to identify and correct problems on machine/substrates

    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals

    • Maintain a positive work environment, including respectful communication with peers

    • Able to maintain good attendance

    • Must be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods

    • Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation

    EDUCATION

    • High school diploma preferred
