    Your Role

    As a

    Fleet Safety & Compliance Manager

    , your role is to lead safety initiatives and ensure full compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations. You will manage driver qualification, vehicle safety, and compliance reporting, while also investigating accidents and implementing corrective measures. You’ll be the key point of contact for safety protocols, ensuring both our drivers and fleet meet the highest standards of safety and reliability.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain driver qualification files, monitor license expirations, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations, including conducting pre-employment and random drug/alcohol testing.

    • Audit driver logs for HOS compliance and educate drivers on proper logbook maintenance.

    • Oversee vehicle pre-trip inspections, coordinate maintenance, and manage vehicle repair needs to ensure DOT compliance.

    • Conduct accident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents.

    • Develop and lead safety training programs, and hold regular safety meetings to reinforce compliance standards.

    • Report accidents and file necessary documentation with relevant authorities.

    • Prepare and submit DOT reports, conduct internal audits, and continuously improve safety processes.

    Minimum Requirements

    • 5+ years of experience in fleet safety management, DOT compliance, or a related field.

    • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and FMCSA guidelines.

    • Experience in managing driver qualification files, safety audits, and vehicle maintenance compliance.

    • Proven ability to lead safety training programs and investigate vehicle-related accidents.

    • Proficiency in using software for compliance tracking, driver logs, or fleet management.

    • Ability to coordinate with internal teams and external authorities for accident reporting and compliance submissions.

    Nice to Have

    • Experience with fleet management software (e.g., Fleetio, SAP Fleet Complete, or AssetWorks).

    • Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Manufacturing certification.

    • Experience working with diesel engines, particularly Volvo and Detroit Diesel models.

    • Previous experience in high-stakes fleet environments, such as aviation or military operations.

    Compensation details: 70000-85000 Yearly Salary
