Fire Protection Stock Lister

POSITION SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to compile the various lists of materials needed by the shop for piping fabrication and loose materials/long lead items for purchasing.

What you'll do:

• Reviews applicable code and manuals to determine material requirements and design for projects.Pulls cut sheets from manufacturer websites and identifies materials needed for projects in order to produce material package documents which will include equipment data packages for submission.

• Produces detailed material lists for multiple system types, including fabrication and loose material lists for PM/Purchasing on each sprinkler project assigned.

• Creates and/or utilizes Word/Excel documents for the listing process.

• Partners with design, PM's and Purchasing to provide required information and lists in a timely manner for each project's schedule.

What you bring to the table:

• High school Degree or GED required

• General construction knowledge

• Good project management and organizational skills

• Strong math skills

• General knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Word

• Experience with trade-related software programs preferred

• Ability to read and decipher general construction blueprints

• Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
