    Job Description

    As a Finishing Carpenter, you will be responsible for installing cabinets, wood wall bases, doors and hardware, door casings, and performing other general carpentry tasks. You will execute finish and trim carpentry work according to plans and specifications, ensuring high-quality results. Your role will include measuring, cutting, and installing various fixtures and millwork for doors, windows, ceiling panels, staircases, decking, and furniture. Additionally, you will erect scaffolding or ladders as needed, collaborate with other carpenters, journeymen, and supervisors to complete projects, troubleshoot and repair issues with building components and equipment, and follow established regulations to advocate for safety on each worksite.

    Responsibilities

    • Install cabinets, wood wall bases, doors, and hardware.

    • Perform finish and trim carpentry work according to plans and specifications.

    • Measure, cut, and install various fixtures and millwork for doors, windows, ceiling panels, staircases, decking, and furniture.

    • Erect scaffolding or ladders as needed.

    • Collaborate with other carpenters, journeymen, and supervisors to complete projects.

    • Troubleshoot and repair issues with building components and equipment.

    • Follow established regulations and advocate for safety on each worksite.

    Essential Skills

    • 5+ years of carpentry experience.

    • Proficiency in carpentry, finish carpentry, drywall, construction, and rough carpentry.

    • Keen attention to detail.

    • Blueprint reading skills.

    • Ability to use common hand tools and power tools.

    • Familiarity with PPE and carpentry trade tools.

    • Troubleshooting and communication skills.

    • Physical stamina for lifting equipment and working at various heights and in tight spaces.

    • OSHA 10, OSHA 30 certifications.

    • Valid driver's license.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract position based out of Red Wing, Minnesota.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00
