    Our trusted client is seeking a financial reporting manager consultant for a long-term engagement. This mostly remote role is located in Novi, MI and will report directly to the Chief Accounting Officer.

    The day-to-day responsibilities include:

    • Manage and oversee the process of external reporting on a quarterly basis

    • Assist in preparing footnotes for financial reports

    • Conduct MDNA analysis to provide insights on financial performance

    • Collaborate with team members for footnotes preparation and other reporting tasks

    • Perform growing concern analysis to identify potential risks and issues

    • Collect management certifications and maintain accurate records

    • Prepare for and participate in disclosure committee meetings

    • Handle lease reconciling tasks to ensure accuracy in financial data

    • Use your skills in Workiva and Technical Accounting to enhance reporting processes.

    Requirements

    The ideal candidate will have the following skill set

    • Applicant must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial reporting role.

    • Proficiency in external reporting is a primary requirement for this role.

    • The candidate must have substantial experience in footnote preparation.

    • Expertise in technical accounting is a mandatory requirement.

    • Knowledge and hands-on experience with Workiva software is essential.

    • The candidate should have a proven track record of managing financial reports in a corporate setting.

    • The ability to interpret and apply accounting policies and regulations is crucial.

    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are expected.

    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for this role.

    • The candidate should be capable of working independently as well as in a team setting.

    • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure is required.
