  • Job Title: Field Service Technician

    Job Description

    This individual will be in a client-facing role, caring for customers' needs with regard to installation, training, and ongoing support of new and installed equipment. This position serves as the primary interface between the manufacturer and the customer after a machine is shipped. When not traveling to customer sites, the Field Service Technician will check out and test new machines prior to shipping from the corporate headquarters.

    Responsibilities

    • Install new equipment at customer sites.

    • Provide training to customers on the operation and maintenance of the equipment.

    • Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting for installed equipment.

    • Serve as the primary interface between the manufacturer and the customer post-installation.

    • Check out and test new machines prior to shipping from the corporate headquarters.

    • Travel both domestically (75% of the time) and occasionally internationally to provide support.

    Essential Skills

    • Strong mechanical and electrical.

    • Experience in PLC troubleshooting.

    • Ability to interact effectively with clients.

    • Experience with packaging machines.

    • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of field service technician/customer service experience.

    • High School Diploma or GED.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    • Potential for growth into a supervisory or managerial role over the next few years.

    • Comfortable with extensive travel, occasionally for 2-3 weeks at a time.

    Work Environment

    The noise level is moderate to high, and the employee is regularly exposed to dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and unpleasant odors. Despite this, the work environment is clean. The position includes a per diem of $60/day when traveling domestically and $100/day when traveling internationally.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $37.00
