    Job Description

    As a Service Technician, you will follow all company safety and operational policies, procedures, and directives from your supervisor. You will maintain telephone communication with your supervisor and/or dispatch to communicate timely ETAs and completion of calls/work. You will perform installations of CO2 gas detection systems and associated cabling, test and troubleshoot issues with network communication, and conduct thorough inspections of cable lines to ensure the system is working correctly. Additionally, you will pull, route, or label CAT5 or CAT6 cable, and use a ladder where necessary to run cabling. You will communicate and collaborate with other members of the field service team to resolve complex issues and provide high-quality service to all customers.

    Responsibilities

    • Follow all company safety and operational policies, procedures, and directives from Supervisor.

    • Maintain telephone communication contact with supervisor and/or dispatch to communicate timely ETAs and completion of calls/work.

    • Perform installations of CO2 gas detection systems and associated cabling.

    • Test and troubleshoot issues with network communication.

    • Conduct thorough inspections of cable lines to ensure the system is working correctly.

    • Pull, route, or label CAT5 or CAT6 cable, using a ladder where necessary to run cabling.

    • Communicate and collaborate with other members of the field service team to resolve complex issues.

    • Provide high-quality service to all customers.

    • Verify current inventory levels versus install schedule and communicate deficiencies with supervisor.

    • Maintain proper operation of all equipment, tools, ladders, etc.

    • Maintain sufficient inventory levels of all parts.

    • Provide daily communication to assigned supervisor.

    Essential Skills

    • Mechanical troubleshooting

    • Service and hand tool proficiency

    • Pneumatics

    • Must have their own vehicle and clean driving record

    • Ability to use a 6-foot ladder

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    • Own tools and smartphone needed

    • Computer skills - Microsoft Office

    • Electrical knowledge - CAT6

    • Blueprint reading is a plus

    • Good communication skills for customer-facing interactions

    Work Environment

    This position involves working on the road, out of a vehicle, and navigating computer systems to log work orders. You will be visiting new worksites daily, working on CO2 lines for beverage dispensers.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cleveland, Ohio.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00
