Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Service Engineer/Field Service Technician to take on a variety of challenging technical assignments, such as constructing, repairing, testing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and installing equipment, RF/microwave products, and electro-mechanical devices, components, and systems. This position involves extensive international travel for extended stays, primarily focusing on installing and testing equipment at overseas locations. The role requires the ability to work from sketches, drawings, schematics, and verbal instructions, often under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex electronic, mechanical, and technical assignments, including constructing, repairing, troubleshooting, calibrating, adjusting, testing, and maintaining electronic and mechanical equipment, microwave products, and electro-mechanical components, devices, and systems.

• Work from schematics, engineering drawings, wire lists, and written or verbal instructions.

• Oversee a small team to install and test equipment at remote locations.

• Operate related electronic and mechanical equipment necessary to construct, test, process, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain specific products or equipment.

• Recommend changes or modifications to improve the operation or quality of electronic or mechanical products and equipment.

• Determine methods, operations, and sequences in setting procedures for constructing, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, processing, and modifying electronic and mechanical products and equipment as required.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD is a plus.

Essential Skills

• Must have at least an Active Secret Security Clearance.

• Ability to travel up to 50-75%.

• Proficiency in writing and speaking English.

• Associates degree in related technology or equivalent technical training, plus seven (7) years of related experience, or a combination of training and related experience equal to ten (10) years.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Preferred candidates will have an in-depth understanding of instruments and equipment, such as capacitors, test procedures, lead-free soldering, and spectrum analyzers.

• SATCOM/Military background would be a plus.

Work Environment

The work environment involves both international remote locations and a manufacturing/office setting when back in the US. This position provides a unique opportunity to support cleared government work in secure locations around the world.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00

on OSI benefits now- started at the beginning of the year- full time benefits/ paid time off/ health, medical, dental hsa

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Dallas,TX.
