    Position Summary

    The Field Engineer will oversee product performance in the field and will utilize their subject matter expertise to provide engineering support to customers within our Agricultural segment, the Bridgestone Americas Sales team, the tire design engineers and manufacturing personnel. In this role, you will be onsite with customers within the US to understand how Bridgestone products are being utilized and how they are performing. This individual will plan field evaluations, analyze claim and test data, and provide technical support to internal and external customers. You will manage scientific research and development, as well as studying the structure and behavior of the product. The person filling the open position will focus specifically on AG tires.

    ** The ideal candidate will reside in the Midwest territory: Texas, Oklahoma, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota, or North Dakota **

    Responsibilities

    In this role, you will:

    • Provide technical support to field sales staff and customers, including field investigations, data collection, field testing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, resolving and documenting all aspects of the products.

    • Track and manage recurring issues, from problem identification to resolution.

    • Influence cross functional partners and business stakeholders within their job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices.

    • Support organization, planning, and conducting training sessions for sales and customers.

    • Lead and support projects or processes while receiving general instructions from higher level leadership.

    • Continue building knowledge of organization ad processes.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Agriculture, or technical related area and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience

    • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

    • Mechanical and technical aptitude.

    • Ability to physically manipulate heavy tires, cut tires for analysis, handle large sections of cut tires, manipulate tire and wheel assemblies, and proficiency in utilizing tools and relevant equipment.

    • Strong interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication.

    • Data driven, detail oriented, self-motivated and organized.

    • Strong presentation skills. This position presents to both large and small groups ranging from farmers to trade shows.
