2nd shift -Laser Operator/Fabricator - $5 dollar shift differential! - Full Benefits!

Job Description

As a 2nd shift Fabricator, you will operate a variety of equipment such as lasers, brake press, and saws. Flexibility is required as you will move between tasks and work off prints.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment and file settings to monitor quality control of items produced, including cut quality and hole quality.

• Investigate machine settings and nesting techniques to improve quality, machine performance, and throughput.

• Assist programmers in creating Python laser and other equipment programs for production, including .DXF files for individual parts and nesting full sheets.

• Reach with hands and arms, and occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required.

• Identify shapes such as sheet, plate, channel, tube, and flat bar along with their thickness and gauge, and material types like mild steel and stainless steel.

• Provide backup support to fabricators on Brake Press/Shear/etc. as needed.

Essential Skills

• Experience with fabrication and CNC equipment.

• Knowledge of laser, brake press machines, and sheet metal fabrication.

• Ability to properly identify material shapes and types.

2nd shift: 3pm - 1am (Monday - Thursday). Occasional overtime available. Competitive pay with a $5 shift differential.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00
