    BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer with a background in explosives safety who will support the Navy Program Manager responsible for the Navy's Strategic Systems Program (SSP) Facilities Acquisition at TRIDENT Submarine Bases Kings Bay Georgia and Bangor Washington. The selected candidate will help to develop facility site selection investigations, maintain master site plan documents, prepare Site Approval Requests, and perform engineering analyses of explosive safety conditions at ordnance handling facilities.

    This position will be located in Washington, DC and there is no relocation assistance available. If relocation is necessary, the selected candidate must be willing to relocate at his/her own expense.

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    Minimum education and years of related/relevant experience required: Bachelor of Science and 8 years, related/relevant work experience to include significant applicable Military Construction experience.

    Additional skills/experience:

    • Experience with Master Planning

    • Experience with Explosive Safety Requirements

    • Experience with NAVSEA OP5 requirements for Ordnance facilities, or similar ordnance regulations

    • Ability to work in a team environment

    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

    Highly desired, but not required:

    • Experience with NAVSEA OP 5 ordnance regulations

    • Experience with processing explosives safety site approval requests

    • Experience with special lightning protection criteria

    Pay Information

    Full-Time Salary Range: $112420 - $191070

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
