Job Summary

The Expert Data Scientistis responsible forcollaborating with cross-functional teams toidentifyand prioritize business problems that can be addressed through data science methodologies. Theroleutilizesadvanced analytics techniques to extract insights from complex datasets, develop scalable machine learning pipelines, and design end-to-end data science solutions aligned with businessobjectives. Additionally, theincumbentcommunicatesfindings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders while continuously experimenting and iterating on models to ensure accuracy and robustness. Staying current with advancements in the field, theincumbentproactivelyseeksopportunities to apply emerging techniques for innovative problem-solving.

Main Responsibilities

Technical Development and Implementation

• Utilize advanced analytics techniques to extract insights from large, complex datasets and develop predictive models to support decision-making processes

• Develop andmaintainscalable machine learning pipelines using Python,PySpark, and other relevant tools and frameworks

• Design and implement end-to-end data science solutions, from data collection and preprocessing to model development and deployment, ensuring alignment with businessobjectivesand requirements

• Take ownership of projects and provide end-to-end solutions, frominitialproblem definition to model deployment and monitoring

Collaboration and Communication

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams toidentifyand prioritize business problems that can be solved using data science methodologies

• Communicate findings and insights effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear visualizations, presentations, and reports

• Work closely withDataEngineers tooptimizedata infrastructure and ensure the availability and reliability of data for analysis,identifyingopportunities for improvement and optimization

• Stay current with the latest advancements in data science and technology, and proactivelyidentifyopportunities to apply emerging techniques to solve business challenges, driving continuous improvement and innovation

Experimentation and Continuous Improvement

• Conduct thorough experimentation and evaluation of machine learning models to ensure robustness, accuracy, and generalization, iterating as necessary to achieve desired outcomes

• Demonstrate a hands-on approach to problem-solving,leveragingtechnicalexpertiseand creativity to overcome challenges and deliver innovative solutions

• Stay current with the latest advancements in data science and technology, and proactivelyidentifyopportunities to apply emerging techniques to solve business challenges

Working Conditions

The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure, and stress.

Requirements

Experience

Data Science

• Between5to8 years of hands-on experience in data science, with a strong focus on machine learning, predictive analytics, and statistical modeling

• Experience using libraries and frameworks such as Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Scikit-learn, and TensorFlowandPyTorch

• Extensive experience working with big data technologies, includingPySpark, Databricks, and Apache Spark, for large-scale data processing and analysis

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and familiarity with services such as Databricks Workspace

• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and software development best practices*

Education/Certification/Designation

• Bachelor'sDegree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field

• Master's Degree orDoctors of Philosophy(Ph.D.)*
