Job Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY
Executive Editor would serve to manage a key frontlist brand, as well as work to develop and facilitate IP projects generated and edited by the fiction group.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Brand management of a bestselling property
Management of author and agent relationships
Assume the key leadership role in the editorial development of properties, including new core novels, graphic novels, and spinoff projects
Liaise with marketing, publicity and sales departments
Aid in the development of IP projects, chiefly supporting junior staff by helping navigate the process of finding authors and connecting the steps between idea development to project acquisition.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Significant depth of industry knowledge is required for this position, both internal and external. This executive editor must know how books are developed, packaged, marketed and sold into accounts. She or he must also have broad industry contacts and familiarity with the author and agent community.
Experience : 15+ years in the children's publishing industry
