    Job Summary

    As we continue to expand our reach, we are seeking a visionary and results-driven Executive Director of Global Product Strategy to lead our efforts in defining and executing the vision, mission, and strategy for our Global Product portfolio, spanning across Entertainment, Connected Living, and Streaming. The role will report into the TPX (Technology Product Experience) Strategy function, with a dotted line report into the Office of Chief of Staff for the Global Product organization in TPX.

    Responsibilities

    Shape Vision and Mission

    • Lead the development and refinement of the vision and mission for Global Product, specifically focusing on the Entertainment, Connected Living, and Streaming sectors.

    • Ensure alignment of the vision and mission with the broader corporate goals and values.

    Mid-Term Strategy (How We Win Plan):

    • Develop a mid-term strategy at the Global Product level, outlining the "How We Win Plan" that sets the direction for achieving competitive advantage in the market.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective execution of the strategy.

    Strategic Alignment Across Directorates/Businesses:

    • Work closely with other directorates and business units to ensure strategic alignment and coherence across the organization.

    • Foster collaboration and communication to drive a unified approach to achieving corporate objectives.

    Investment Strategy

    • Develop an investment strategy for the Global Product division, identifying key areas for resource allocation and capitalizing on growth opportunities.

    • Conduct rigorous analysis to optimize return on investment and ensure the financial success of strategic initiatives.

    Co-create Long Range Plan and 1-Year Plan with Finance:

    • Collaborate with the Finance department to co-create the Long Range Plan, outlining the strategic trajectory over an extended period.

    • Work closely with Finance to develop the annual 1-year plan, ensuring alignment with long-term goals and financial objectives.

    • Partner with the Global Product leadership team to map 1-Year and Long Range deliverables, plans and KPIs into motivating narratives for the organization

    Market Analysis

    • Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential threats to inform the Global Product strategy.

    • Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and adjustments to the strategy as needed.

    Risk Management

    • Identify potential risks and challenges to the successful execution of the Global Product strategy.

    • Develop contingency plans and risk mitigation strategies to ensure the resilience of the strategic plan.

    Cross-functional Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with department heads and key stakeholders to ensure alignment between strategic goals and operational activities.

    • Facilitate communication and cooperation across different business units.

    Talent Development

    • Foster professional development and knowledge-sharing within the team.

    Preferred Qualifications & Capabilities:

    • Professional working experience in Management Consulting, Investment Banking, Corporate Strategy, or Business Unit Product Management or Strategy

    • Industry experience and/or knowledge of dynamics in Entertainment (Pay TV, Streaming), Broadband / WiFi, and Smart Home / IoT

    • Experience creating presentations for, and communicating with, senior executives up to the C-suite level

    • A strong, independent interest in consumer trends and needs; Ability to interpret disparate data and form cohesive narratives on implications for our current and future business & technology

    • An interest and ability to learn about technology that powers consumer experiences at scale

    • Experience in creating alignment between multiple functional organizations through data, influence, and communication

    • MBA or equivalent functional training; knowledge of Corporate Finance approaches to investment and valuation
