    Position Summary:

    Efficiently and effectively work with the Used Equipment Sales Representative (supervisor), technicians, and determine schedule for Equipment Detailer-I to recondition and repair vehicles and components.

    Essential Position Functions/Responsibilities:
    • Schedule and stage equipment reconditioning process for the department
    • Accept assigned jobs from Supervisor
    • Wash and detail/recondition new and used trucks
    • Perform required work at or above efficiency standards
    • Participate in training as required
    • Work with Supervisor to diagnose cause and malfunction and perform basic repairs as directed by Supervisor or other technicians
    • Examine assigned vehicle to determine if further reconditioning or repairs are needed or recommended
    • Communicate with supervisor immediately if additional repairs are needed, if outlined work is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed in a reasonable or promised time
    • Document in detail, work performed on repairs
    • Report tool, machinery, or equipment defects to supervisor
    • Keep reconditioning areas clean and safe
    • Maintain and be accountable for all company owned tools, materials and equipment
    • Understand and comply with all federal, state and local regulations
    • Perform all duties and activities in a safe manner
    • Report any safety issues immediately to a supervisor
    • Other duties to meet business requirements
    Education & Essential Qualifications:
    • Experience in mechanical repair along with intermediate mechanical, analytical, and reasoning skills

    • Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Trade school certification in automotive or truck maintenance and repair
    • Experience in repair shop environment
