    WSP USA hosts hundreds of interns across the United States to gain hands-on, meaningful work experience to enhance their education and professional aptitude. Our interns gain exposure to real projects while working side by side with senior staff. Through our Developing Professionals Network, interns gain mentorship, networking opportunities and lifelong career connections.

    Our Earth & Environment Team is seeking a Full-Time Environmental Science Co-op to work out of our Marlton, NJ office. This temporary position is seeking individuals currently enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate degree program through Drexel University.

    This co-op is anticipated to take place during the Spring and Summer 2025 semesters. The anticipated dates of this co-op are March 31st - September 19th as part of the Drexel Co-op Program. Start dates may be flexible.

    Your Impact

    WSP's Marlton office provides a broad range of services in engineering and environmental sciences including environmental assessment, investigations and remediation, remedial design and permitting.

    • Learn basic principles of Environmental Consulting.

    • Engage in a team environment, working closely with task managers, project managers, and colleagues to complete field tasks and project deliverables.

    • Support a variety of environmental field sampling tasks and data collection, review and analysis with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.

    • Accurately document (e.g., field forms, field notes) and verbally communicate site conditions, observations, and activities.

    • Safely perform work in the office and field; fieldwork may occur in all seasons and weather conditions, using a variety of field equipment and operating vehicles on behalf of the company.

    • Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.

    • Complete training on assigned tasks.

    • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

    • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

    • Please note that there is no relocation or housing assistance associated with this co-op/internship.

    Who You Are

    Required Qualifications

    • Actively enrolled in an accredited Environmental Science, or related, Undergraduate program through Drexel University with an anticipated graduation date of September 2025 or later.

    • Must be 18 or older.

    • Demonstrated interest in Environmental Science, or related field, and have a strong desire to advance skills related to WSP's work and projects.

    • Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience.

    • Capable of taking direction from leadership, mentors, and managers to executive projects.

    • Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools.

    • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

    • Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Actively enrolled in an accredited Environmental Science, or related, Masters or PhD program through Drexel University with an anticipated graduation date of September 2025 or later.

    • Excited about the opportunity to support our environmental consulting business for state and federal programs including CERCLA, RCRA, NJDEP CSRR Program, and Pennsylvania Act 2.

    • Experience using Microsoft Office and GIS.

    • Prior internship and leadership involvement on campus.
