    We are seeking an outstanding Enterprise Social Impact Lead to design, development, produce and provide consultation on a variety of internal and external communications materials and media that reflect the Corporate Social Responsibility mission at Caterpillar.

    What You Will Do:

    • Set and guide the strategy for all communications, and public relations messages and external and internal content, to consistently articulate the mission of Caterpillar CSR

    • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop communications strategies that will broaden programmatic reach and deepen impact. Develop relationships with peer groups, business unit communicators, leaders and SMEs globally

    • Implement communication processes to create momentum and awareness as well as to test the effectiveness of communications activities. Develop and refine Caterpillar CSR "core" messages to ensure organizational consistency

    • Review external talking points and presentations from an Enterprise POV. Ability to coach and support senior leaders as spokespersons

    • Identify media opportunities and risks based on business and industry knowledge

    • Develop content for internal and external storytelling

    • Find stories, generate media pitches to enhance reputation in key markets

    • Provide reactive media support as needed

    • Build and maintain media relationships with reporters

    • Support enterprise stories by providing segment-focused expertise

    • Monitor industry and competitor news for story ideas

    What You Have:

    • Strategic Planning: Strategic planning in support of the overall business plan

    • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors

    • Initiative: Being proactive and committing to action on self-identified job responsibilities and challenges; ability to seek out work and the drive to accomplish goals

    • Interpersonal Relationships: Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner

    Education: Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience

    Additional Info :

    • The primary location for this position is at our Global Headquarters in Irving, Texas.

    • Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify

    • Sponsorship is not available

    • International and Domestic travel up to 10%
