    Job summary

    Enterprise Advanced Analytics Data Scientist will work to find actionable insights that are key to a company's growth and decision-making, develop predictable models and provide data for decision making. The position will work closely with Data Analysts and Data Architects to integrate customer, financial, and operational data into analytic software applications by converting business requirements into visual dashboards and predictable models. This position turns data into information that will be used by Management to drive better business decisions. This position will also support the creation and implementation of a culture of data literacy.

    Specific Responsibility

    • Work on all aspects of design, development, validation, scaling, and integration of analytical solutions, coordinating with business groups to organize challenging problems, develop new solutions, and ensure that the solutions deliver value

    • Develop predictive models that are insightful and actionable, testing and validating the accuracy and functionality.

    • Develop high level and automated data visualizations to capture time series trends

    • Determines, defines and deploys predictive/prescriptive analytic solutions to meet business objectives

    • Chooses best fit methods, defines algorithms, validates and deploys models to achieve business results

    • Use machine learning methods (e.g., cluster analysis, decision trees, random forest, neural networks, logistics regression) to model and predict business outcomes, such as classification of errors

    • Use advanced mathematical techniques (correlation, regression, time series analysis, analysis of variance, etc.) to forecast business outcomes

    • Identify appropriate methods to conduct analyses on corporate data including simulation methods (e.g., bootstrap, Monte Carlo, bagging methods), machine learning, and statistical analyses

    • Evaluate model fit and performance using a series of techniques (e.g. RMSE, RMSEA, MAE, MSE, MAPE, Accuracy, Recall, Precision, Etc.)

    • Evaluate corporate data / metrics and develop mathematical models to support assessment of metrics and predict future levels

    • Create recurrent summary reports of data exception metrics, trends, outliers.

    • Work with Qlik, Tableau, Power BI for visualizations and with R and Python to manipulate and transform data

    • Communicate to internal customers through graphical representation / visualizations, reports, algorithms, models, and dashboards

    Required Minimum Qualifications

    Education: BS degree required, inclusive of coursework in Mathematics and/or Computer Science; Preference given to candidates whose degree is in one of these disciplines.

    Skills and Experience

    • Minimum 10 years demonstrated analytical skills, including the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

    • Selected candidate must have proven experience manipulating data sets, designing databases, applying statistical analysis and developing predictive models to make strategic business recommendations

    • Programming Skills (VBA, R, Python, etc) required

    • Experience with business case analysis (problem identification, quantitative modeling and problem solving)

    • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact cross-functionally across all levels of the organization required

    • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment required

    • Self-Motivation, creativity and eagerness to learn (passion for analytics and innovation) a must
