    General Scope: Work alongside Design Engineers and Planning to support our Production facility. Learn the Engineering document control process and help manage Engineering drawings throughout the drawing lifecycle. Understand the role of engineering within a Manufacturing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

    Position Summary:

    • Assist with Production Order Creation based on Production Schedule
    • Print engineering drawings according to production schedules and specifications.
    • Assist in organizing and maintaining drawing files and documentation.
    • Collaborate with engineering staff to ensure accuracy and completeness of printed drawings.
    • Provide support in data entry tasks related to the ERP system, including updating part numbers, bills of materials (BoM), and inventory information.
    • Verify and validate data entry accuracy to maintain data integrity in the ERP system.
    • Assist with other administrative tasks and projects as needed to support the engineering and planning departments.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    Education: Currently enrolled in an engineering or related degree program or newly graduated in the past 2 years.

    Knowledge: Must have proficient knowledge in the following area:

    • Knowledge of general engineering drawing practices as well as the ability to read technical documents.

    Skills: Incumbent must demonstrate or participate in internal/external training programs to obtain the following skills:

    • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common technical documents and engineering drawings.
    • Ability to effectively present information to management
    • Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints from engineers, production staff, and other internal stakeholders.
    • Ability to write technical documents.
    • Must have working knowledge of PC's, Internet usage, e-mail and a CAD program. Preference for Autodesk Experience
    • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations, and proportions to practical situations.
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
    • Basic understanding of ERP and Product Lifecycle Management systems.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license

    Applicable Technical Competencies: Incumbent must have working knowledge and demonstrated abilities utilizing mechanical knowledge: Specific applications combined with knowledge competencies are as follows: Rating Level: 1-5 (1= minimum 5= Maximum)
