SNC is seeking an Engineering Training Manager to lead and support the training and development of our engineers. As an Engineering Training Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing engineering training plans, onboarding actions, mentorship activities, and closure of skill gaps.
Your role will involve identifying training needs, designing, and delivering training programs, and coordinating with other departments to ensure that our engineers have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles. You will also be responsible for tracking and measuring the effectiveness of training initiatives and making adjustments as needed.
As an Engineering Training Manager, you will play a key role in fostering a culture of learning and development within our organization. You will work closely with the Learning & Development and engineering teams to identify areas for improvement and help develop and implement solutions. Responsibilities Include:
Evaluate and identify skill gaps across the Design & Analysis engineering teams and develop plans to close those gaps through training and development initiatives
Develop and manage engineering training plans and initiatives, including
Designing, developing, and delivering training programs
Coordinating with subject matter experts
Measuring training effectiveness
Collaborate with engineering discipline teams to provide onboarding support, mentorship, and career path/talent development activities
Partner with the Learning & Development team to ensure compliance with all training and development regulations and requirements
Must-haves:
Bachelor's of Science degree in a related discipline and typically 8 or more years of relevant technical experience
Understanding of engineering principles and practices
Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools, analysis and simulation
Experience developing and delivering technical training content
Effective at mentorship activities
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
Preferred:
Typically 2-4 years of relevant leadership and/or management experience
Exposure to assigning, directing, and evaluating engineering work activities; and overseeing the development and maintenance of staff competence
Experience with identifying and coordinating resources to ensure the required tools, processes, and training are available/effective and programs are staffed and supported to achieve success
Extensive experience training and mentoring other engineers in your field
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
Ability to motivate/work with others
Prior exposure to working successfully in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment emphasizing rapid prototyping and fielding of capabilities, with minimal supervision

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $120,552.10 - $165,759.14. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
SNC offers a generous benefit package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) with 150% match up to 6%, life insurance, 3 weeks paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more (~~~/) .
