Job Description

As an Engineering Lab Technician in the Research & Development department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality of our truck-trailer products. Your responsibilities include inspecting production components for welding integrity, material strength, and design continuity. You will utilize MS Office productivity software to document your findings, cataloging and filing reports for future reference. Additionally, you will analyze manufacturing trends to aid in the diagnosis and prognosis of potential issues, ensuring our customers receive the highest quality products.

Hard Skills

• MS Office proficiency, especially Excel

• Experience with measuring tools such as Tape Measure, Caliper, and Micrometers

• Ability to handle and process parts using equipment like a 90-degree grinder and acid treatments

• HS Diploma

• Manufacturing/industrial machinery experience

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail

• Ability to adapt to established team dynamics

• Professional demeanor in a lab setting

This is a contract position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Savannah, Georgia.

Work Environment

This position operates in a clean, air-conditioned lab environment from Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break. The role requires wearing safety equipment provided by the company, except for steel-toed shoes, which the candidate must provide. This is a 6-month contract position with potential for permanency. Our team consists of experienced professionals who value traditional methods. The candidate should be comfortable wearing jeans and a neat, plain T-shirt, prepared for potential minimal soiling due to lab activities.
