    About the Role:

    The Engineer-Wholesale NOC role entails an Escalation Engineer function. The position will be responsible for technical support escalations within the Windstream Wholesale NOC, delivering training to NOC team members, assisting with chronic customer circuit issues, and identifying improvement areas to allow for more efficient NOC tasks. The incumbent will work to identify network conditions that require resolution prior to causing service outages to Windstream Wholesale customers.

    What You'll Do:

    • Serve as a technical escalation point of contact for Wholesale NOC team members

    • Provide fault management and technical analysis for customer circuits and network repair

    • Analyze the performance of network systems and tools

    • Perform engineering design evaluations of customer circuits and the Windstream national network

    • Provide technical leadership and direction in areas of expertise for engineering staff

    • Perform administrative work relating to projects and assignments

    Do You Have?

    • Extensive experience with telecom services including Ethernet, DWDM waves, Fiber Tower backhaul, and TDM

    • Computer software knowledge to include Microsoft Office, custom planning tools and databases.

    • Good analytical, oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills

    • Ability to prioritize projects

    • Proficient knowledge of accepted engineering practices

    • Analytical problem-solving skills

    • Strong and energetic work ethic with the ability to be a team player

    • Ability to recognize deviations from accepted practice

    • Ability to stay current with the economic and technological developments in the industry

    Minimum Requirements:

    College degree and 5-7 years' experience or 9 + years equivalent related Engineering/Technical experience or a combination of education and related Engineering/Technical experience required

    The compensation range for this position is from $63,400 - $83,200 annually.
