    Key Responsibilities:

    The Engine Asset Manager-Asset Transfer is primarily responsible for managing the induction of purchased and leased engines/APU's into United's fleet, the redelivery of leased engines/APU's to lessors, and the preparation of surplus engine/APU assets for exit from United's fleet. They effectively partner with cross-functional teams to efficiently execute transfer of assets into and out of United's fleet. Additionally, they support the organization by developing best practices, performing analysis, and preparing reports. Ability to travel up to 25% travel is required.

    • Provide project management for the induction of purchased and leased engines/APU's into United's fleet, redelivery of leased engines/APU's to lessors, and preparation of surplus engines/APU assets for exit of United's fleet

    • Track, analyze. and report key information regarding purchased, leased, and surplus engines/APU's

    • Evaluate engines/APU'S in United's fleet for potential surplus

    • Develop and implement best practices for engines/APU engine induction, redelivery, and exit

    • Perform analysis and prepare reports for leadership and stakeholder review

    Qualifications

    What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

    • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business

    • 3+ years of experience in aircraft or engine maintenance

    • Ability to read and understand engine/APU maintenance requirements

    • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, tailoring delivery to technical and non-technical audiences

    • Ability to manage complex workloads to effectively accomplish assignments and projects with limited supervision

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint and Excel

    • Ability to travel up to 25%

    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

    • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

    • Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position

    What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

    • Master's degree

    • MBA, MS Engineering

    • Experience leading teams through indirect influence

    • Project Management experience

    • Process improvement experience (ex: Six-Sigma Certification)

    • Airframe and Powerplant License

    • Detailed understanding of jet engine maintenance and components

    • Skilled in computer software and business tools, such as SCEPTRE, EMS, Engine Planning System (EPS), Palantir Foundry etc.
