Do you have experience working with an embroidery machine or heat press, are you someone who thrives in a fast-paced and friendly environment? We are looking for an experienced embroidery machine operator to join a WONDERFUL team on Jacksonville's Southside. The machine operator assistant will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting machinery used in the production process. You will also assist in packaging, shipping, and quality control as needed. The ideal candidate will need embroidery or heat press experience and should have experience in a manufacturing environment, able to work in a fast-paced setting and be open to learning new skills. work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM

Responsibilities

• Select proper thread, hoops, designs, and materials for each project

• Understand each project's specific and custom needs

• Prepare the machines and supervise the embroidery process

• Promote continuous process improvement with an emphasis on LEAN initiatives

• Understand technical or scientific product details

• Update work order data and completions in the company systems

• Meet production deadlines including incorporating rush orders in the production schedule

• Prepare and verify items to be embroidered Hand finish all embroidery products

• Maintain a thorough understanding of product catalogs, variations, and decorative processes

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including daily trash disposal

• Communicate with team members to work in the best and most efficient manner possible.

The essential functions of this role include

• working in a smoke free environment

• manual lifting up to 48lbs

• standing for 4 hours at one time
