Electro-Mechanical Technician needed for a long term contract to assist the engineering team in the development audio system within the automotive market. This team is looking for a candidate who is very mechanically inclined in both electronics as well as the mechanical side. The right person will have excellent communication skills as well as previous hands-on experience working within the automotive aftermarket; such as installing stereos, alarms, emergency lighting, etc., Mobile Electronics Certified Professional (MECP) is preferred, but will consider the right experience. work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities

• Install and uninstall audio / video equipment from vehicles

• Follow design schematics and route wires and equipment from diagrams

• Will prepare test reports that accurately document conditions, sample results and findings.

• Requires a flexible style that accommodates working on multiple tasks in collaboration with several members of the organization.

• Work well with other team members and show enthusiasm by being driven, attention to detail and a passion for continuous improvement.

• Qualifications & Experience:

• High school degree is required. Advanced education or MECP Certification preferred, but not required

• Minimum of 2 years of related Automotive experience

• Proven Electro Mechanical knowledge and ability to solve problems and create work arounds

• Demonstrated ability and desire to focus on details.

• Demonstrated ability to work with people and maintain a positive demeanor.

• Proven ability to multitask and switch tasks with very short notice
