  • Eaton's Electrical sector is currently seeking an Electrical Technician to join our team. This position is based at our Delta, BC facility and offers benefits from day one of employment.

    The expected annual salary range for this role is $52,300 - $77,193 a year. Please note the salary information is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

    What you'll do:

    Reporting to the District Operations Center Manager, this position is responsible for performing quality assembly and testing of the complete scope of products serviced by the District Operating Center. This role fosters an environment that promotes Eaton's goals and philosophies, encouraging continuous improvement through participation and teamwork. It involves developing internal relationships to assist with material specifications, quality control, purchasing, and delivery. Additionally, the role advises local leadership when product assembly durations cannot be met and communicates with the Engineering team to resolve schematic issues, concerns, and errors.

    • Maintain all service equipment including all test equipment, tools issued to meet specifications including EBE, ISO requirements, etc. in good working condition and maintain sufficient inventory to respond to standard calls.

    • Provide timely, supporting detailed and accurate reports on service work performed, product performance, and warranty liabilities to company expense and time allocation

    • Coordinate the electrical safety glove - testing program, to ensure certification is maintained

    • Visually check components and assemblies for electrical and mechanical defects

    • Read and understand blueprint and schematics for assembly and troubleshooting

    • Complete sub-assembly and wiring of any product as assigned

    • Setup the equipment required for testing and perform testing of products in shop

    • Receiving of products at the site and prepare products for shipping

    • Refurbishment of used parts and equipment along with scrapping of non-functional parts and equipment

    Qualifications:

    Basic (required) Qualifications:

    • High school Diploma or equivalency post-secondary diploma (DEC) from an accredited institution

    • Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now or in the future

    • Valid driver's license

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Certified Technician (CET) designation

    • Three (3) years of experience in mechanical assembly, power and/or control wiring

    • Experience in basic testing and servicing electrical distribution and control systems is highly desirable

    • Experience with warehousing, material handling and industrial truck operation
