    Job Description

    AECOM Canada is searching for an Electrical Specialist for a full-time position based at Calgary.

    The Electrical Specialist position demands a high level of expertise and professionalism in the field of electrical engineering. This role carries significant responsibilities that are crucial to the success of our projects and client satisfaction.

    • Function as a fully competent professional in the electrical engineering field with minimal supervision.

    • Utilize advanced knowledge to develop sophisticated design procedures, software, and tools to ensure high-quality, cost-effective technical project outcomes.

    • Formulate precise estimates of technical efforts required for projects, demonstrating a thorough understanding of resource allocation.

    • Orchestrate effective communication and collaboration within the full design team and with clients, ensuring alignment of project goals and expectations.

    • Conduct rigorous interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables, maintaining the highest standards of quality and accuracy.

    • Spearhead the development and implementation of technical approaches, overseeing the completion of complex work that demands regular application of ingenuity and creativity.

    • Initiate and create comprehensive project designs and plans, assuming full responsibility for preparing professional presentations and detailed design drawings.

    • Produce meticulous designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and working drawings that adhere to industry standards and client specifications.

    • Exercise considerable autonomy in determining technical objectives of assignments, demonstrating leadership in project direction.

    • Provide mentorship and oversight to less experienced designers, fostering their professional development and ensuring the maintenance of high standards across the team.

    • Engage directly with clients and oversee all aspects of projects to ensure that client needs are met with the utmost professionalism and attention to detail.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements

    Bachelor's degree with 6 years of related design or construction experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience an or education.

    Preferred Qualifications

    15 years of related experience including Electrical water and wastewater design.

    Additional Information

    Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $130,000.00 - $150,000.00.
