    Electrical Engineering Technicians at SDC are collaborative, detail-oriented individuals that have a strong background in electrical design, creative problem-solving abilities, and hands-on experience with panel layouts, part selection, and electrical system debugging. This role requires a proactive individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to delivering high-quality results.

    Essential Functions:

    Design and Documentation:

    • Create detailed electrical designs, including schematics, creative drawings, and panel layouts, using industry-standard CAD software.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for electrical systems and components.

    Part Selection and Procurement:

    • Identify and select appropriate components and materials for electrical systems.
    • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely ordering and delivery of parts.

    Build Support:

    • Provide technical support on the shop floor during the assembly and construction of electrical systems.
    • Ensure that builds align with design specifications and quality standards.

    Testing and Debugging:

    • Perform electrical debugging and troubleshooting to resolve design or build issues.
    • Test and validate electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.

    Collaboration and Communication:

    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, project managers, and production staff.
    • Participate in design reviews and provide input to improve processes and designs.
    • Support machine building process from assembly, de-bug and acceptance testing and through on-site customer installations and start-up support and customer training.

    • Associate degree in electrical engineering technology or related field; a bachelor's degree is a plus.
    • Proven experience in electrical design and troubleshooting, preferably in automation or manufacturing.
    • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical) and other design tools.
    • Strong understanding of electrical components, systems, and standards.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability and willingness to travel to support projects, up to 10%.
