  • Job Title: Service Technician/ Electrical Assembler

    Job Description

    The Service Technician/ Electrical Assembler provides service support to customers, resellers, and partners on the product line, focusing on service repairs. You will assist the Technical Support, Production, Product Service, and Engineering teams in their efforts to support the Company's customers, resellers, and partners on all technical matters relating to the Company's product line, focusing on service repairs and support.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist Product Service and Production in successfully completing product repairs, refurbishments, upgrades, and other technical services on both in-house and customer equipment; this will include the use of high-end test gear and component-level troubleshooting techniques.

    • Handle to completion incoming support calls from resellers and customers via telephone, e-mail, and other incoming media; this will include the issuance and processing of service RMA orders.

    • Assist in the emulation of customer-defined faults and participation in the resolution process; follow through with proper process documentation.

    • Testing and results documentation of internal and external (customer) equipment, software, and firmware.

    Essential Skills

    • Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot to component level

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    • Minimum 2 years required as an electrical or electronics technician

    • Good hand-eye coordination

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    • Experience in assembly, using hand tools, production, general labor, assembly line, and general production

    • Experience as an electrical assembler, electro-mechanical assembler, light industrial assembler, and bench assembly

    Work Environment

    Primarily sedentary physical work requiring the ability to lift a maximum of 25 pounds for occasional lifting and carrying. Frequent walking and standing, hand/eye coordination, and the ability to operate computer keyboard/office equipment. Vision for reading, recording and interpreting information.     Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Windsor, Connecticut.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00
